to the Gladwyn's very own website. Here you can browse our rooms, read our newsletter and take a virtual tour of the accommodation from the comfort of your own chair. We have just finished another season at the Gladwyn - our bookings are up and the positive comments in our guest book are testimony to another successful year. We are intending to use the low season (although our booking are unusually high) to start on some maintenance and refurbishment work including some grand designs on rooms 1, 2, 4 and 5 to bring them up to the standard of our better rooms - watch this space for further details.
Eastbourne
The Gladwyn is conveniently situated for a variety of local attractions including the new arts centre, parks, gardens, museums, harbour and the beach with its sweeping seafront and three tier promenade. The coastline is designated an area of outstanding beauty and the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head include a walkers route along the cliff tops. Close by are the charming villages of Alfriston, Wilmington & East Dean as well as Drusillas Zoo, Polegate Windmill, Michelham Priory, Pevensey Castle and Newhaven Fort. Eastbourne is also the venue for the acclaimed new film called "Angus, thongs and perfect snogging".
Click here to find out more about this film which is released on 25 July.
daVinci eastbourne
Click here to check out our new sister hotel which has been aptly named the daVinci and recently opened as Eastbourne's premier art hotel....in fact Eastbourne's only art hotel. The grade 2 listed building will be exhibiting work of Eastbourne's local artists in the beautiful rooms situated on the ground floor. The bedrooms also include featured artists and we intend to build upon the excellent reputation of the Gladwyn in ensuring comfort, service and a touch of something a little different. The hotel is situated just off the sea front in Howard Square.
